What’s Your Intent?

‘Intention rules the world’ said Oprah Winfrey.

When we make an intention, it forms the key to the map for the journey we must take to reach the future destination we desire. The clarity and commitment embedded in the intention will determine the ease of our journey, and the energy and enthusiasm behind it will fuel it. Without this we are in danger of being side-tracked or lost.

My work is built around expressing intentions on the ground through logos. It is usually the first physical expression of the future we want to create, and eases it from the world of our imagination and dreams into the world where it can do its work to create our reality.

Making an intention is a conscious commitment to making a difference in our lives. It can be as large as building and launching an international business or as small as finding a new home. It can be simply for feeling better. I have designed logos to manifest all these. The list of potential intentions is endless and creating one is the most powerful way of consciously creating our future. We get to have a say in the lives we lead, the effect we have and the difference we can make to the world in which we live.

Most of us would like some sort of change in our life, many of us lack the feeling of power and independence that will ignite that change; the spark that lights the potential for change is our intention. It is the first step on the journey towards the life we want and without this step, this commitment, we simply cannot begin.

A logo designed to express an intention, visually and verbally, acts as a constant reminder and trigger for us to pay attention to our dream so that we can build it in reality.

“Every journey begins with the first step of articulating the intention, and then becoming the intention.” Bryant McGill, Voice of Reason

“The world is awaiting your gift — all you have to do is show up with the right intention!” Lewis Howes

“This is how to avoid re-creating painful situations: Take the time to discover your real intention before you act. If it is to change someone or the world so that you will feel safe or better about yourself, don’t act on it, because it is an intention of fear and can create only painful consequences.” Gary Zukav

“All that counts in life is intention.” Andrea Bocelli

“Our intention creates our reality.” Wayne Dyer
